I am walking the Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostela alone, not to prove anything, not to run away-but simply TO BE. This journey has lived inside me for years. Always 'later', always 'someday'. Until the moment came last year when 'someday' quietly turned into NOW.. 2026!!!!
I walk first and foremost for myself: for calm in my mind, space in my heart and the simplicity of putting one foot in front of the other each day.
And because walking only for myself doesn't quite feel complete, I've chosen to connect this Camino to something very close to my heart: raising funds for the rescue dogs staying in Canil Municipal in Portimão. Dogs who, in their own way and having no voice, are also searching for a second chance. I'll be bringing humour along-because without laughter it all becomes far too serious-and I'll write honestly about what the Camino brings up. The beautiful days, the difficult ones, blisters (very likely) insights (hopefully) and everything in between.
